Joe Morgan

The combination of Joe Morgan's baseball accomplishments, broadcasting excellence, business success and community service truly make him a "Complete Package." Elected to Baseball's Hall of Fame in 1990, Joe is arguably the best second baseman ever. He was the missing part that made Cincinnati's Big Red Machine the best team of the 1970s. He played in four World Series and was a winner in three.

In his twenty-two seasons, Morgan was a rare blend of intelligence, speed and power -- the first player to ever hit 200 home runs and steal 600 bases. His accomplishments include: National League Rookie of the Year in 1965, National League MVP in 1975 and 1976, NL comeback Player of the Year in 1982, 10 time All Star Selection and he won five Gold Gloves.

Joe's drive for excellence was transferred from baseball to broadcasting with his retirement in 1984. For more than ten years he has worked as a network baseball commentator and is currently the number one analyst for ESPN's Sunday Night network broadcast of Major League Baseball. In addition, Joe will be covering the playoffs for NBC sports.

Morgan's constant pursuit of challenges has allowed him to achieve parallel success in business. Joe counts among his business success, past ownership of Wendy's restaurants, Bay Area travel agencies, and a major beverage distribution company. He is currently President of J.L. Morgan Enterprises, a holding company with diverse business interests.

Energetic and enthusiastic, Joe is articulate, has solid interpersonal skills and relates well one-on-one with groups. He is a motivational and inspirational speaker who is able to assist businesses and organizations in many ways.
